What is a skills check?

Simucase uses skills checks as a performance measure during simulations. Users encounter skills checks after selecting an assessment or intervention to complete with a patient. They will see one or more slides containing media that may include a video, a PDF, or a combination of these formats along with questions they must answer to progress to the next slide. 

In Learning Mode, you can click the Feedback button to receive feedback about answer choices. Note that the simulation performance meter does not reflect progress for skills checks performance, but Simucase does calculate and include skills check scores in the overall competency rating. The skills check scores are a subset of the assessment and treatment sections of a simulation.
